How This Nourishes Your Body
Ice cream gets a bad rap. Let me tell you some good news- ice cream can be extremely nourishing. With a base of raw milk or coconut milk, sweetened with raw honey or pure maple syrup. Or Avocado Ice Cream! Mmmhmm might as well have it every day.
Avocado Ice Cream
There are thousands of different healthy ice cream recipes- but this one is different. And by different I mean the base is made from avocado. Weird? Maybe. But so easy, and delicious, plus it fits as a nice side for lunch or even breakfast. I do not have an ice cream maker, and I wanted to make something that I could literally have every day that gives me the nutrients I need and still satisfies my sweet tooth, and BAM here it is.
By now we all know the incredible benefits of both avocados and coconuts for the female body. This ice cream provides energy, regulates appetite, balances blood sugar and hormones in one amazing bowl.
To be honest, I usually just blend all of the ingredients and eat as a pudding because I am impatient and can’t wait for it to freeze. Either as a pudding, or a cold frozen treat, this chocolate avocado ice cream is a winner.
1. Place avocado and all ingredients in a blender or food processor.
2. Blend together until it becomes super smooth and creamy. Stir in chocolate chips.
Enjoy now as a pudding
3. Once blended, pour into a covered container and freeze until frozen solid, usually 4-6 hours
4. Once frozen, remove from freezer and let ice cream soften, scoop it, enjoy!
