Effects of Processed Sugar
Refined Sugar: We all know it. We all hate it. Sugar is an addictive drug that seems impossible to escape from in this day and age. Sugar has many names to disguise this white toxin including: dextrose, fructose, corn syrup, lactose and sucrose.
Foods that are high in sugar are causing a countless amount of health issues – most of which people are not connecting to their sugar intake. This toxin is causing issues such as
- weight gain
- low sex drive
- poor memory formation
- learning disorders
- hormonal imbalances
The more sugar we eat, the more chronic disease and incredible mood swigs we experience.

Sugar the Cause of Disease

Hormones produced by the body in response to sugar consumption also feed cancer cells. So every time you indulge in processed sugar, your body produces certain chemicals that tell cancer cells to not only start taking up sugar, but also to grow in size and spread.
As if sugar didn’t already plague our poor bodies with enough disease, then enters artificial sweeteners.
Aspartame, one of the most widely used artificial sweeteners has been linked to debilitating, life-threatening conditions people are now suffering from more than ever before in history.
Aspartame literally kills brain cells and attacks the body often leading to migraines, seizures, depression, brain cancer, insomnia, and obesity.
Unfortunately, this sweetener is highly addictive and found in common products such as gum, diet soda, and yogurt. Dr. Mercola states “one of the worst things you can put into your body, or feed to your family, is the artificial sweetener aspartame.”
Most people think if they buy sugar free ice cream or sugar free candy that it somehow magically makes it healthy. From now on, when you see ‘sugar free’ on a processed food think of a toxic chemical storm. One chemical that is used to flavor numerous ‘sugar free’ items is the same substance used in antifreeze.
