Is it me or is keeping a clean home a whole other story after having kids?! Between food constantly being thrown on the floor, getting into alllll the drawers, and trying so hard to clean and cook with a little one strapped to your legs wanting to be held,  makes it a bit more challenging eh? But dang do I love this girl.

With taking care of a baby, working, making every meal, and cleaning every day- I needed more of a structure to keep my head straight, or at least make sure everything gets done.

When it comes to cleaning, I focus on:

  1. A FEW multipurpose, non-toxic products: I hate having a cabinet full of cleaning products. I like to keep it clean, simple, and effective.
  2. A cleaning schedule to make sure everything is getting touched throughout the week (or it won’t ha!)

Why Green Cleaning Products?

People are so confused why hormone imbalance, infertility, low energy, cancer, skin issues, autoimmunity, anxiety, and depression are so common. Well, we are exposed to more chemicals than ever before in history that are throwing our bodies out of balance.

Green Cleaning Products

I like to have a few categories on hand:

  1. All purpose cleaner – either homemade or store-bought
  2. Vinegar + baking soda
  3. Good cloths

Multipurpose Cleaner:

DIY Recipe:

  • 1 cup water
  • 3/4 cup white distilled vinegar
  • 10 drops tea tree

Force of Nature

I have tried many, many natural all-purpose cleaners and I have found this works the best by far. It’s electrolyzed water which is really cool technology and can be used for literally anything. It claims to be as effective as bleach, with only three ingredients! It cuts grease and grim + disinfects + deodorizes and is safe enough to use on babies toys, pacifiers, high chair.

I should just write a whole post on this, but go check out their site for more details, it’s really fascinating!

You can get $35.00 off the starter kit by clicking here  🙂

Vinegar + Baking Soda

Vinegar is a cheap, miracle cleaning agent. It is a powerhouse disinfectant and can do miraculous things when paired with baking soda.

I use it them to:

  • clean the toilet
  • clean the drain
  • clean sinks + bathtubs
  • clean water bottles

Good Cloths

Gleen Cloths

Gleen Cleaning Cloths are great to use to clean mirrors, windows, and stainless steel like a boss!

This unique cloth effortlessly cleans windows, mirrors, marble countertops and more, with only water, for a streak free gleam. No need for expensive sprays, harsh chemicals or paper towels. Micro Fiber Cloths

I like to use good microfiber cloths for the daily wipe downs. I do love Norwex clothes (but only own one) which a don’t use as much because of the price. I like these microfibers to use with the force of nature.

Green Cleaning Cleaning Schedule

This has been a game changer for me. I used to be the gal that did a big deep clean once a week (with laundry and wiping counters daily), but with a little one, taking a few hours once a week just is not happening. I developed this routine so every piece of the house gets touched, in only a short amount of time a day!

Daily

  • wipe after every meal
  • Vacuum floors- at night
  • Pick up rooms put things in bins as needed
  • Dishes
  • Laundry

Weekly:

  • Monday: Clean Bathrooms
  • Tuesday: Vacuum
  • Wednesday: Mop
  • Thursday: clean towels/sheets
  • Friday: Declutter one drawer/room/area: THIS ONE IS GOLD! When you choose one thing to declutter each week, I have found the whole house says clutter free with very little effort!

There you have it. Simple. Non-toxic. Daily cleaning without the drag.
