Changing Beliefs

Changing Beliefs

Whether we like to admit it or not, beliefs control our lives- the most important thing we can learn is the power of Changing Beliefs.

What we truly believe about what is possible, about ourselves, and about our life produces our reality.

Our subconscious  mind is who we really are, and where are beliefs are stored. You can think something in your conscious mind, but it won’t change anything unless is goes deep enough into your subconscious.

For example, you can say you believe in healing, abundance, and your identity as a citizen of heaven, but it might not be an actual belief you have deep enough to make those things happen. Your mind can even make you lose weight!

The GREAT news is, we can form any belief we want with time, intention, and dedication. With these beliefs come a life we could have never imagined.

4 minute mile

There is a fascinating area of the phycology of what is possible. What they are finding is that truly, ANYTHING is possible, someone just has to believe it is.

Example: No one ever thought it was physically possible to run a mile in under 4 minutes- then came Roger Bannister in 1959 who did not let other people’s perceptions of what is possible interfere with doing it. He ran a mile in under 4 minutes, and since he showed that it was possible- many people started doing it right after. All of those people had the potential to do it before, but because it had never been done, they did not think it was possible which physically did not let their body do it. You have to believe something is possible to be able to do it.

False Limits

So what false limits are you putting on yourself? What are you saying is impossible? You must become CONSCIOUS of these thoughts in order to change them. To help find these: what area in your life are you struggling in the most? Work? Health? Relationships? What do you think is possible in these areas?

Important to Remember: Our THOUGHTS and BELIEFS of what is possible have to be in line in order to accomplish the impossible. Most of the time our THOUGHTS are that we can do something, but it doesn’t happen because our BELIEFS do not match. We do not get what we want, we get what we believe.

Changing Beliefs

So you want to form that belief. . . .This takes daily:

Even if you do not believe something at first- imagining it as if it was true and thinking about it daily will begin to form that belief. Whatever we plant in our subconscious, nourish with repetition, and act upon with come to pass.

Action Step to Belief Change

What do you want to accomplish in your life that you think is impossible? Is it living your dream job? Living in a certain place? Traveling? Having great health? Pray and ask God if you have any beliefs in that area that might be holding you back from making it a reality, because the only thing that is holding you back is the belief that you can’t.

So even if you do not think it is possible, begin acting and visualizing as if were true, and your brain begins to reprogram and rewire. Your brain does not know the difference between what is real and what is imagined.

Step One: Ask the Right Question

Who do you want to be? What do you want to do every day? What do you want to look like? How do you want to act?

Step Two: Form the belief:

  1. Write your why: Why do you want this? How would your life change?
  2. Next, Write down how your life would look each day.
  3. Next write down 3 things you can do every day to make this a reality.

Show Up Each Day

All change requires forming habits. For the next 30 days, take at least 5-20 minutes each day visualizing the person you want to become or the thing you want to accomplish in life. Imagine and feel the feelings of what that dream feels like.

Doing this is building new pathways in your brain and forming a belief that it is possible- and then it will be! We just have to show up 🙂

Whoever we want to be, whatever we want to do, we can wire into our brains and bodies- it just takes effort to show up every day and act like it is already true.
